Rays reporter Kelly Nash takes an impressively dangerous Fenway Park self-portrait

Instagram: knashsports

Everybody wants a selfie these days, a self-portrait in some dramatic location. Kelly Nash, a Tampa Bay Rays reporter for Sun Sports, decided to show the folks back home where she was working, and picked an ideal moment during batting practice to snap the photo.

Nash noted that her producer had called out "heads up!" a few times as home run balls rained down around her. "But none of those balls actually fell close to me," Nash said, "so I took my chances turning my back on batting practice for a picture." Once she looked at it, she realized just how close she'd come to getting beaned.

Justin Bieber Pot Search! Narcotics Found in Pop Star's Bus in Sweden

Sweden: Land of the Vikings, pretty blond people and…good weed?

Not so sure about that. However, a rep for the Stockholm Police Department tells E! News that Justin Bieber's bus was searched Wednesday night after officers smelled marijuana.

Don't freak, though. The bus was originally parked in front of the Grand Hotel, then made its way to the Globe Arena, where the Biebs performed. During this time, an officer called in and got a search warrant for the bus.

Champions League Semifinals, Robert Lewandowski Produced a Striker's Masterclass against Real Madrid

The Poland striker volleyed in Mario Gotze's cross at the back post early on before Cristiano Ronaldo tapped in.

Lewandowski collected Marco Reus's shot to poke in past Diego Lopez and crashed home a 12-yard strike for a hat-trick.

The 24-year-old converted his fourth from the spot, after Reus was fouled.

Champions League Semifinals, Barcelona at Bayern Munich

Thomas Müller scored two goals and set up two others as Bayern Munich thrashed visiting Barcelona, 4-0, on Tuesday in a Champions League semifinal.

The eagerly anticipated showdown between European heavyweights, both former winners of the competition, was a complete mismatch. Bayern dominated the midfield even as it surrendered much of the possession, frustrating Barcelona’s passing game before it could get close enough to create chances. Then Bayern punished the Catalans on set pieces at the other end, dominating the air — at times simply bullying Barcelona into submission. Barcelona had hoped to get a boost from its star Lionel Messi, who returned from a hamstring injury sustained in the quarterfinal, but the tiny Argentine — unable to find an inch of space and clearly not fit — was virtually invisible all game.

Ellen DeGeneres Faces Her 'SNL' Impersonator, Kate McKinnon

Kate McKinnon’s perfect impression of Ellen DeGeneres has been a major highlight of this season of Saturday Night Live. So, when McKinnon stopped by Ellen, DeGeneres couldn’t pass up the opportunity to meet her doppelganger.  Ellen handed McKinnon a new outfit and had her come back out in character.

”I will treasure this forever!” McKinnon gushed as she hurried offstage to put on her Ellen costume. When she returned later, the audience was treated to dancing (McKinnon can really get down) and chair squirming.

Gwyneth Paltrow was Crowned The World's Most Beautiful Woman but Then Turns Ugly on Twitter

Beauty, they say, is in the eye of the beholder. But after Gwyneth Paltrow was named the world’s most beautiful woman yesterday, some were only too ready to point out that they did not see eye to eye.

Miss Paltrow, 40, received a barrage of abuse on Twitter after being awarded the crown by US magazine People, which praised her ‘timeless look’.

She beat actresses Jennifer Lawrence, 22, and Amanda Seyfried, 27, to the top spot, and snatched the title from her best friend Beyonce, 31, who won last year.

The Lowdown on NFL Draft

On February 3, the Baltimore Ravens beat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII in what was a thrilling finale to the NFL season.

While that game was played almost three months ago, don't be fooled into thinking that the NFL went into hibernation.

Quite the contrary -- teams, fans and pundits alike quickly turned their attention to this year's NFL Draft.
What is the Draft to the NFL? Think of the Champions League group stage draw. While that takes place in Monaco, the NFL Draft is held in New York City, with neither event involving a playing ball.

Van Persie, signed from Arsenal last summer, put United ahead 83 seconds in when he scored from close range. He doubled the lead with a volley in the 12th minute and completed his hat trick in the 33rd minute for his league-high 24th goal of the season.

Porsha Stewart Breaks Silence on Divorce, Was "Totally Blindsided"

Porsha Stewart's life may be even more crazy than the tabloids are letting on.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star has finally broken her silence on her divorce from Kordell Stewart on Watch What Happens Live, telling host Andy Cohen she was "totally blindsided" by the filing.

"When I found out about the divorce, it was absolutely a surprise. I was laying in the bed and I tweeted, 'today is the first day of the rest of your life,'" she explains. "I put the phone down and took a little nap and I looked back at my phone and my sister was calling me over and over. She said, 'have you heard?' and I'm like 'heard what?'"

Who is Katherine Russell, Widow of Boston Marathon Bombing Suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev?

A few years ago, in a photo essay for Slate.com, boxer-turned-Boston-Marathon-Bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev said: “I don’t have a single American friend. I don’t understand them." But Tsarnaev, 26, who died Friday in a police shoot-out during a botched getaway, fell in love with and married one: Katherine Russell, a 24-year-old Rhode Island native and the mother of their 3-year-old daughter, Zahara.

The young family lived in a Cambridge apartment that had been leased more than 10 years ago by Tsarnaev's parents. Russell worked 70 to 80 hours, 7 days a week as a home health-care aide, her lawyer, Amato DeLuca, told reporters, and she thought her husband was caring for their toddler at home while she was at work. Instead, he allegedly was planning out the terrorist attack that killed 3 and maimed more than 170 others at the finish line of the Boston Marathon last week.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Charged with Using Weapon of Mass Destruction at Boston Marathon

Terror suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was charged on Monday with two federal counts of using a weapon of mass destruction to kill, injure and cause widespread damage at the Boston Marathon a week ago. If convicted, the 19-year-old could face the death penalty.

Three people were killed and more than 200 others wounded when two powerful homemade bombs exploded near the race’s finish line.

The bed-ridden Tsarnaev was informed of the charges and read his rights in his hospital room Monday morning. The college student is in serious condition at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he is under heavy police guard.

Nadal returns to Barcelona After Monte Carlo Loss

After his eight-year winning run in Monte Carlo was ended by Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal is quickly refocusing on winning an eighth title at the Barcelona Open.

Going into another clay-court tournament that Nadal has dominated, the Spaniard said he still needs to improve following a lengthy injury layoff before he's able to beat the likes of Djokovic in a final.

''When you make it to the final in Monte Carlo you cannot think that you had a bad week,'' Nadal said Monday. ''Now I'm in Barcelona and I want to enjoy it. I love playing here.''

Woman Unknowingly Takes 30 Pounds of Pot Across U.S.- Mexico Border

This is awkward. A woman who lives in Mexico and works in San Diego called the cops on herself when she apparently unknowingly transported 30 pounds of marijuana across the border.

According to a report by NBC New York, the unnamed 33-year-old drove her car to work Friday morning, arrived early and was sitting in her car in a parking lot around 4 a.m. when two unidentified men approached her car and began removing packages from underneath it.

The driver surprised the men, who got in their car and drove off. She called the police, who discovered 30 pounds of pot divided into six packages attached by heavy-duty magnets to the undercarriage of the vehicle.

49ers Trade Up: San Francisco Looking to Move Up in The 2013 NFL Draft

If the San Francisco 49ers trade up in the 2013 NFL Draft, will that make them the heavy favorite to win the Super Bowl in the 2013 NFL season? This might be something football fans should look at because NFL.com reported on April 22 that they want to trade up into the high teens in the first round of the draft.

The 2013 NFL Draft starts on Thursday night, April 25, and airs on both ESPN and the NFL Network.

The 49ers were a breath away from winning the Super Bowl last season, and have already used free agency to fix one of their problem areas by adding Anquan Boldin to their wide receiver corps. They also traded backup quarterback Alex Smith to the Kansas City Chiefs and look even more talented than they did when they made the Super Bowl last season.

"Futurama" executive producer David X. Cohen said he wasn't shocked by the news. "I felt like we were already in the bonus round on these last couple of seasons, so I can’t say I was devastated by the news,” Cohen told EW. “It was what I had expected two years earlier. At this point I keep a suitcase by my office door so I can be cancelled at a moment’s notice."

Wenger Calling Respect For RVP

Arsene Wenger is calling for fans of Arsenal to show respect to Robin van Persie when he returns to the Emirates Stadium with Manchester United.

The Mirror reports that Wenger wants respect shown to the striker because he was a good servant to Arsenal and also because he is with the Champions.

£24million was enough to tempt Arsenal to let him come to Old Trafford last summer and this has resulted in van Persie becoming a figure of hate with the Emirates regulars.

Wenger said:  “We will respect the players that have played for us a long time as we always have done and treat them well before and after the game. As a champion or not as a champion it is exactly the same.
“What I want is for us to have a good game and to beat them, it doesn't matter what kind if status they come with. We'll see.”

United may well start the game at Arsenal on Sunday as Champions if they manage to beat Aston Villa on Monday night.

Liverpool Fines Luis Suarez for Biting Opponent

Liverpool fined Luis Suarez on Monday for biting an opponent a day earlier, and demanded that the troublesome striker work on his disciplinary problems.

The Uruguay striker bit Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic's arm during Sunday's Premier League match before scoring a late goal to clinch a 2-2 tie.

''For my unacceptable behavior yesterday, the club has fined me today,'' Suarez wrote on his Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Jennifer Lawrence Flubs Bill Clinton’s Name, References Oscar Fall

Hollywood's reigning queen of incredibly appealing awkwardness -- Jennifer Lawrence -- stole attention and hearts on Saturday at the GLAAD Media Awards.

Tapped to present the flagship Advocate for Change award to President Bill Clinton, Lawrence made uncomfortable attempts to kiss up to her boss, referenced her fall en route to the Oscar podium, and flubbed Clinton's name.

In essence, she totally won the show.

"Ladies and gentleman, President Gil ... " Lawrence blurted out, realizing that she didn't quite nail the pronunciation of "Bill."

Police Identify Possible Suspect in Colorado Shooting Suspect

Denver police on Sunday pointed to a YouTube video they say shows a possible suspect in the weekend shooting at a marijuana celebration that injured two people and scattered a crowd of thousands.

The shooting on Saturday took place during the outdoor celebration of the first 4/20 counterculture holiday since Colorado legalized marijuana. Denver police spent much of Sunday scanning video taken at the event.

Police spokesman Sonny Jackson told The Denver Post that the suspect is shown in the video walking in a crowd away from the scene of the shooting as sirens wailed in the background.

Lionel Messi Back in Training for Barcelona

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has recovered sufficiently from a hamstring strain to feature in Tuesday's Champions League semi-final first leg at Bayern Munich, sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta said on Monday.

The Argentine World Player of the Year sat out Saturday's 1-0 La Liga win at home to Levante and has not yet been given the all-clear by medical staff but was included in the squad for the clash at the Allianz Arena.
"Messi is with the team and he is able to compete, although that's a decision for the coaching staff," Zubizarreta said on Barca's website (www.fcbarcelona.es).

Five snowboarders were killed Saturday afternoon after apparently triggering a backcountry avalanche on Colorado's Loveland Pass, authorities said.

Search and rescue crews recovered the bodies several hours after the slide, which was 600 yards wide and eight feet deep, said Clear Creek County Sheriff Don Krueger.

A sixth snowboarder caught in the avalanche was able to dig himself out and call for help, Krueger said. That person's condition wasn't immediately known.

The victims all had avalanche beacons, Krueger added.

Authorities had been waiting to question the 19-year-old, who is accused of helping to carry out the attack, which killed three people and wounded 180 others, many of them critically, near the finish line of Monday's race.

Earlier Sunday, the FBI said Tsarnaev remains in serious condition at the heavily-guarded Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and a federal official told Yahoo News that Tsarnaev was sedated and unable to speak.

AR-15 Giveaway Shut Down On Facebook

An AR-15 giveaway was recently shut down by the folks at Facebook.

Pittsburgh Tactical Firearms owner Erik Lowry started the contest back in February. Months after the giveaway began, the social networking site has removed the fan page Lowry created for his business. The secondary page he put together was later removed as well.

The owner said the page was removed without any official notice from Facebook. Although he has attempted to contact the site regarding the removal, he told The Blaze that he still isn’t sure why the AR-15 giveaway was shut down.

Lowry believes the trouble may have started with an article published on Vocativ. The website contacted Facebook about the giveaway, which reportedly violated the terms of service. A company spokesperson said Facebook was unaware of the situation.

Rangers Fan robs Mariners’ Franklin Gutierrez, Breaks into Gangnam Style

You probably remember Texas Rangers fan Trent Williams from his past adventures on "Greene's Hill" at the Ballpark in Arlington.

He's quite the expert home run catcher — or ballhawk, if you will — and he's made a little name for himself over the past couple years thanks to his success rate, his throwing arm and perhaps even his unique (awkward?) celebrations and dance skills. Heck, he even narrated a segment for MLB Network last season, so chances are you've seen or heard him somewhere.

As per usual, the Rangers season ticket holder was in his seat just off to the right field side of Greene's Hill — the grassy area in straightaway center — during the home team's 5-0 win over the Seattle Mariners on Saturday night. And, once again, he was the first person on the scene when A.J. Pierzynski's flyball came souring towards his property.

Sucky Water Pressure

This homeowner is working on an ingenious way to cut down on their water bill. Using a simple white cup as a way to illustrate their very unique water pressure, you won't believe what you see when they turn on the hot water. Who knows, maybe they can even get their bill to go into the negatives? But be warned, you don't want to get contaminated water back in your system! This might look hilarious, but it's always best to call a plumber if you're not sure.

New Video of Dzokhar Tsarnaev's Capture Released

As Dzokhar Tsarnaev recovers in the same Massachusetts hospital as some Boston Marathon bombing victims, authorities released a new aerial video showing how they were able to take the suspect into custody alive.

Tsarnaev, 19, is under heavy guard at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where he is listed in serious but stable condition and is awaiting charges. Investigators said he is unable to communicate because of his injuries that might include wounds from an earlier gunfight.

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick said he hoped Tsarnaev survives "because we have a million questions."

Djokovic beats Nadal to win Monte Carlo Masters

Novak Djokovic ended Rafael Nadal's winning streak at the Monte Carlo Masters on Sunday, beating the eight-time defending champion 6-2, 7-6 (1) in the final.

Nadal won his 46 previous matches at Monte Carlo, including a victory over Djokovic in last year's final. The Spaniard's last defeat in this event was against Guillermo Coria 10 years ago.
''Rafa, thank you for allowing me to win it once,'' Djokovic said. ''I couldn't ask for a better start to the clay season.''

After closing the match with another booming forehand, Djokovic held his head in his hands and looked skyward before talking to himself for a few seconds. He dropped to the ground and kissed the clay. Last year, Djokovic's grandfather died during the tournament but he kept playing to reach the final.

3 Doors Down Bassist, Charged in Fatal Car Crash

Police have charged 3 Doors Down bassist Todd Harrell with vehicular homicide following a fatal car accident on Friday, April 19, in Nashville, Tenn., CNN reports. Officers said the musician was speeding along the interstate when his car clipped a pickup truck, sending it into a guardrail and then down an embankment, where it flipped over.

The driver of the truck, Paul Howard Shoulders, was apparently not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his vehicle during the crash. He was pronounced dead a short time later at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Mom Told Kids to Fire BB Gun at Parked Cars as She Drove

Police say a Long Island woman has been arrested on charges she encouraged her teenagers to shoot the windows out of parked cars with a BB gun as she drove.

Susan Becker, 43, of East Northport was arrested Friday in Hauppauge.

Suffolk County police say Becker bought a BB gun and gave it to her children. They say Becker's 15-year-old daughter, her 13-year-old son and another teenage boy fired the BB gun as she drove.

Why Your Boss Wants You to Retire on Time

More boomers want—or need—to stay in the workplace longer. But staying on the job as you approach retirement age tends to makes you more expensive to an employer, because of your health-care costs. And that’s why workers now face a growing wave of initiatives from companies designed to keep those costs down.

The number of older Americans in the workforce has risen sharply over the past seven years, thanks in part to the battering that retirement accounts and home values took in the Great Recession. In 2013, 32.4 % of Americans ages 65 to 69 were either working or actively looking for work, versus 27.9 % in 2006, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In a March survey from the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI), 26% of respondents said they expected to work to age 70-plus, versus 17% in 2003. And while some of those folks simply love to work, others are doing so because they feel they must. “Their preference would be to be on a beach in Florida,” said Edmund F. Murphy III, head of defined contributions at Putnam Investments, which provides record-keeping services for company 401(k) plans.

China Says Aims to Banish Superstition, Promote Knowledge

China is struggling to get its estimated 100 million religious believers to banish superstitious beliefs about things like sickness and death, the country's top religious affairs official told a state-run newspaper.

Wang Zuoan, head of the State Administration of Religious Affairs, said there had been an explosion of religious belief in China along with the nation's economic boom, which he attributed to a desire for reassurance in an increasingly complex world.

While religion could be a force for good in officially atheist China, it was important to ensure people were not mislead, he told the Study Times, a newspaper published by the Central Party School which trains rising officials.

Warriors' David Lee Out for Season with Ailing Hip

All-Star forward David Lee of the Warriors is out for the season after injuring his hip during Golden State's 97-95 loss to Denver in Game 1 of their opening playoff series.

''Unfortunate, especially for a guy that's worked so hard and put himself in position and put us in the position that we're in today. ... But the task is still at hand so we move forward,'' coach Mark Jackson said.
MRI results showed a torn right hip flexor.

''I knew last night when I did it,'' Lee said before the Warriors' practice Sunday. ''I felt it pop. So I knew we were going to get the results we did this morning. I went run back on defense and had absolutely no sensation in my leg. It wasn't even painful as much as it was just (numb).''

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Spotted Kissing in Norway

Is Selena Gomez letting Justin Bieber be her "Boyfriend" once again? After breaking up in November, it appears Justin and the "Come & Get It" singer may be back together.

Selena jetted to Norway on Thursday to meet up with The Biebs, who was in Oslo to perform a concert - and the pair was spotted packing on the PDA, according to People.

"They were holding hands, hugging and they kissed on the lips," a source told the mag. "They looked really in love, like no fights ever happened before."

Boston Bombing Suspect Thrown Out of Mosque 3 Months Ago for Shouting at Imam

This combination of undated photos shows Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, left, and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19. The FBI says the two brothers and suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing killed an MIT police officer, injured a transit officer in a firefight and threw explosive devices at police during a getaway attempt in a long night of violence that left Tamerlan dead and Dzhokhar ultimately captured on Friday, April 19, 2013. The ethnic Chechen brothers lived in Dagestan, which borders the Chechnya region in southern Russia. They lived near Boston and had been in the U.S. for about a decade, one of their uncles said.

Deceased Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev reportedly was thrown out of an area mosque about three months before authorities say he and his brother took part in an act of terror that left three people dead and injured 176.

Suarez in The 'Last-Chance' at Liverpool after Ivanovic Incident

Former Liverpool manager Graeme Souness believes Luis Suarez is in "last-chance saloon" at Anfield after the Uruguayan appeared to bite Branislav Ivanovic during the 2-2 draw against Chelsea.

Suarez, who equalized for Liverpool in added time to earn a point against Rafael Benitez's team, drew the ire of Ivanovic in the second half of their Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon. The former Ajax striker has previously been banned for racial abuse and gesturing towards opposition supporters, and Souness believes the latest controversy could put his future at the club in doubt.

"I'm not sure what to make of it," Souness told Sky Sports. "Embarrassing. He's making it very difficult for himself to stay at Liverpool, that puts him in the last-chance saloon.

Perez: Madrid will renew Ronaldo's contract

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is adamant that the club will be able to renew Cristiano Ronaldo's contract.

The Portuguese forward's current deal expires in 2015 but the La Liga champion's hopes for an extension were dealt a blow when he admitted that he was unhappy at the club in September.

The 28-year-old has since been linked with a return to Manchester United, whom he left in 2009 to join the Spanish capital club, but Perez remains confident of keeping his star man at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"Keep calm, we are going to renew with Cristiano Ronaldo. The club are going to pay him," he told Blancos fans at a meeting.

'Tired' Nadal takes positives despite Monte Carlo defeat

Rafael Nadal admitted he is still trying to recapture his best form but remained optimistic for the French Open after losing his Monte Carlo crown to Novak Djokovic on Sunday.

Nadal, who returned to action in March after seven months out with injury, went down 6-2 7-6 to the Serbian world number one, ending his eight-year reign on the principality's clay.

"I need to put in a little bit more physical performance," the Spaniard told a news conference.
"That's the real thing - to play all the points with the same intensity. I get tired to play with that intensity, earlier than what I used to."

Nadal had won three tournaments, including the Indian Wells Masters, and reached the final in Vina del Mar since returning from the serious knee injury that kept him out for the second half of last season.
And although he had said this week he wanted to concentrate on his tennis rather than his fitness, he added: "I think I'm in the right way.
